What is the IB职业相关项目me?

The CP is a framework of international education that incorporates the values of the IB into a unique program addressing the needs of students eng年龄d in career-related education.  The program supports students in three areas - technical 技能, academic 技能, and employability 技能 - leading students to further/higher education, apprenticeships or employment.  

Why consider the IB职业相关项目me?

The CP helps students to prepare for effective participation in life, fostering attitudes and habits of mind that allow them to become lifelong learners and to get involved in learning that develops their capacity and will to make a positive difference.  The CP promotes development of 技能, and encour年龄s students to take responsibility for their own actions, encouraging high levels of self-esteem through meaningful achievements.  

Who should consider the IB职业相关项目me?

The CP was specifically developed for students who wish to eng年龄 in career-related learning while gaining transferable and lifelong 技能 in applied knowledge, 批判性思维, 沟通, 跨文化交流

技术技能:  Students who are a part of the CP study within their chosen Career-related pathway throughout both 11th 和12th 成绩.  下面你会发现 选择 of Career-related pathways for Huron CP students. 

学术技能:   Students who are a part of the CP choose two or more Diploma Programme (DP) classes （无论是SL还是HL）在11th 和12th 成绩.  At least one of these DP courses must be a 2 year course spanning both 11th 和12th 成绩.

就业技能:   Students who are a part of the CP study the core elements of the program listed below throughout both 11th 和12th 成绩 as one of their scheduled classes called CP核心咨询.  在这个课堂上, students will receive instruction, guidance and support as they plan and reflect on the CP experience.

CP核心咨询 - a two year course that contains all elements of the CP core:

Personal and Professional Skills (90 hours):

PPS培养学生的态度, 技能, and strategies to both personal and professional situations and contexts now and in the future.  PPS emphasizes transferable skill development for the workplace so it can be transferred and applied to a range of situations.  

Reflective Project Essay (50 hours):

Students complete an in-depth body of work produced over an extended period of time and submitted toward the end of the CP.  通过一个反思项目, 学生识别, 分析, critically discuss and evaluate an ethical issue arising from their career-related studies.  This project is intended to promote high-level research, writing and extended 沟通 技能, 知识发现, 和创造力.

Students develop and apply knowledge and 技能 toward meeting an identified and authentic community need.  在这种基于研究的方法中, students undertake service initiatives related to topics previously explored while utilizing 技能, understandings and values developed in these studies.

Langu年龄 Development Portfolio (50 hours):

Langu年龄 development encour年龄s students to improve their proficiency in a langu年龄 other than their best langu年龄. The ability to communicate in more than one langu年龄 is essential to success in the 21st century world.
