Welcome to King School!  My name is Lisa Teshima.  It is truly an honor and pleasure being a member of the King community and sharing in my students' lives as their second grade teacher.  

I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University, an Early Childhood Education endorsement, and a Masters of Reading degree.  My teaching experiences span MANY happy years teaching first through third grades in Grosse Pointe Schools, Ann Arbor Schools (Northside and King) and courses at Eastern and Michigan in physics and literacy.

I am excited about developing and maintaining a safe learning culture in my classroom where students are respected, nurtured and motivated to love learning.  I look forward to building my students' sense of agency as constructivist learners for today and their future best selves.
